Our senior editor Joyce Eng achieved the highest accuracy score among nine Experts predicting Grammy Award winners at Gold Derby: 68.75%.
That score narrowly eclipsed a three-way tie for second place at 65.63% by Chris Willman (Variety), Glenn Gamboa (Newsday) and Edna Gundersen. Other Experts’ scores: Adnan Virk (ESPN) at 62.5%, Nekessa Moody (Associated Press) at 59.38%, Peter Travers (Rolling Stone) and I tied at 56.25%, Lyndsey Parker (Yahoo) at 53.13%.
Eng, Moody and Willman were the only Experts who correctly foresaw the victory for Best Album by Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic.” Moody and Willman were the only Experts who predicted Mars would also win Best Record of the Year.
