For this weekend’s Academy Awards, ABC late night host Jimmy Kimmel became the first person to emcee consecutive Oscars ceremonies since Billy Crystal did it in the 1990s. But with the show receiving yet another set of low ratings, will the alphabet network ask him back for a third straight year?
We’ve got a brand new poll below with Kimmel as one of a dozen possible choices as host of the 2019 Oscars in Hollywood. Vote now for which person you think should get the gig.
Along with Kimmel, we’ve only included two other past hosts in our poll below — Ellen DeGeneres (2007, 2014) and Hugh Jackman (2009). Any selection among the other nine people would be a first-timer. We have not included other networks’ late night hosts (Stephen Colbert, James Corden, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers) since ABC would not allow such a selection over their own homegrown Kimmel.
