‘Project Runway All Stars’ elimination predictions: Will Ken Laurence go home in episode 12 right after winning a challenge?

You’d think winning a design challenge on “Project Runway All Stars” would be a good thing, but it might also be the kiss of death in the late episodes of season six. Edmond Newton won episode 10, “Rock Your Face Off,” only to be eliminated the very next week in episode 11, “Nina’s Crushing It.” Will the same fate befall Ken Laurence? He won the “Crushing It” challenge, but now he’s predicted for elimination in episode 12, “History in the Making.”

Laurence gets leading odds of 21/20, which translates to a 48.84% chance of elimination, so really it could go either way. Those odds are based on the combined predictions of “Project Runway” fans we poll every week for their picks in our predictions center. So why would we think the judges would send him home so soon after winning his second challenge of the season (he also won “Perfect Pairings” jointly with Fabio Costa)? Well, Newton’s aforementioned ouster set that precedent last week. And also, the level of competition is too high at this point for the judges to give anyone the benefit of the doubt. Every designer in the final four has won at least two design challenges thus far, and one of them has to go, so why not Laurence.

But he’s not the only one at risk. Anthony Williams ranks second in our predictions with 4/1 odds, or a 20.97% chance of elimination.  And there’s good reason to believe he’s vulnerable. Though he sailed through the first seven weeks of competition without a single low score from the judges (and won “Damsels in Distress“), he has been less consistent of late, receiving low scores in three of the last four challenges: “Mizrahi Madness,” “Rock” and “Crushing It.” Can he rebound to secure a spot in the April 5 finale?
