‘Project Runway All Stars’ elimination predictions: Stanley Hudson will go home in episode 2

Gold Derby’s racetrack odds were slightly off the mark when predicting who would be eliminated in last week’s season six premiere of “Project Runway All Stars.” We thought it would be Anthony Williams, the veteran who previously competed in season seven of the original “Runway” series as well as season one of “All Stars.” But it turned out to be another vet, Carlos Casanova, whom we had ranked second in our elimination forecasts. So who will get the axe in episode two tonight?

We’re predicting an exit for one of the rookies this time: Stanley Hudson, who finished in third place in season 11 of the original series. He’ll be out of his element tonight as season 11 was a special teams edition. So not only is this his first time competing on “All Stars,” this is his first time competing as a solo designer. Episode one of this “All Stars” edition was a team challenge, so it’ll be tonight’s show when we find out if he sinks or swims on his own.

Our users are betting on sink. As of this writing Hudson gets leading odds of 11/8, which translates to a 42.04% chance of elimination. If he survives, the next in line for the chopping block is “All Stars” veteran Helen Castillo with 11/2 odds (15.18% chance of elimination). Castillo was on the losing team in episode one, and not only that she was one of the three designers from her team who received the lowest scores. However, host and judge Alyssa Milano came to her defense, arguing that she shouldn’t have ranked so low. She and her fellow judges Georgina Chapman and Isaac Mizrahi quickly agreed that she was the best of the bottom three and declared her safe.
