‘Project Runway All Stars’: Are Anthony Williams, Fabio Costa & Stanley Hudson locks for the finale?

Season six of “Project Runway All Stars” seems to have settled around three consistent favorites: Anthony Williams, Fabio Costa and Stanley Hudson. All three have won multiple design challenges, and all have had only one low score apiece after nine episodes. Does that make them locks for the finale?

Maybe not. In season five only two of the three finalists had won multiple challenges before the last episode: the eventual winner Dom Streater and third-place finisher Ken Laurence, who is back in the running this season. The runner-up that year was Kini Zamora, who had only one challenge victory, though he did get a slew of other high scores during the competition. Zamora out-lasted three designers who had multiple victories: Sam Donovan (fourth place), Emily Payne (fifth place) and Asha Daniels (sixth place).

In “All Stars” season four all three of the finalists — Dmitry Sholokhov, Sonjia Williams and current contestant Helen Castillo — had multiple challenge wins before the finale. However, so did Costa, who finished fifth that year, and Justin LeBlanc, who was ousted in seventh place.

That means it’s not too late for the remaining designers to have a late-season surge. It only takes one good day to win a design challenge and one bad day to be eliminated, so no one is immune and we can’t count anyone out. Nevertheless, Williams is still the front-runner to win according to the predictions of our users: he leads with 10/11 odds as of this writing, followed by Costa in second place with 11/2 odds. Despite a shaky start and no challenge wins thus far, Castillo ranks third in our predictions with 15/2 odds, while Hudson is an underdog in fourth place with 10/1 odds even though he has won three challenges so far, more than anyone else.

Do you think Castillo will make it all the way to the finale? Or are Williams, Costa and Hudson set in stone?
