‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars’ finale: Shangela should have won season 3, say 81% of readers

While Trixie Mattel may have been crowned winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 3 on March 15, viewers were outraged by the result. They overwhelmingly wanted the title to go to Shangela, but she was bounced from the final four by the eliminated queens. A whopping 81% of our readers picked her as the deserving winner of the title, $100,000 cash prize and year’s supply of cosmetics. What do you think? If you haven’t yet, cast your vote in our poll below and then sound off in the comments section.

This was Shangela’s third time strutting the runway after being bounced in 12th place in season 2 of the main show and returning the following season only to make it to sixth. That was the same slot filled by Trixie on season 7. She made it to the final two this year based on the votes of the six queens who had been ousted earlier in the competition.

While Trixie got seven points in their vote, Kennedy Davenport got eight. But while she may have been popular with her rival contestants, she registered a mere 1% in our poll. Likewise for BeBe Zahara Benet who was also bounced by the queens.

Did you agree with RuPaul Charles that Trixie nailed the final lip sync challenge? Was she better at working her rendition of the Miley Cyrus hit “Wrecking Ball” or did Davenport deserve the title? Trixie now joins Alaska and Chad Michaels in “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Hall of Fame.
