Season 10 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” hosted by two-time Emmy winner RuPaul Charles, is set to premiere this Thursday, March 22 on VH1 at 8:00 p.m. ET featuring an all new cast of 13 queens and 1 returning queen (you might remember Eureka, removed from season 9 due to a knee injury) vying for the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar.” Throughout the competition we’re asking you to guess where each queen will place in our season-long predictions event, so hurry and make your predictions at the bottom of this post.
Based on current odds, our readers think that 21-year old Aquaria from Brooklyn, NY will serve enough “charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent” to win with 27/10 odds. She’s closely followed in our predictions by Asia O’Hara from Dallas, TX and one of the most senior queens this season (at age 35) with 7/2 odds as well as Miz Cracker, the 33-year-old also from New York (there are five queens from the NY area this season overall), with 6/1 odds.
On the opposite side of things, most users are predicting that no one will be eliminated in the first episode (3/2 odds). Though if someone is eliminated, 27-year-old Kalorie Karbdashian-Williams from Albuquerque, NM could be it with 13/5 odds. Dusty Ray Bottoms, the 29-year-old from New York, and Blair St. Clair, the 22-year-old from Indianapolis, IN, are also predicted to be in danger, both at 10/1 odds of elimination.
Season 10 is expected to return to the structure of the competition before the last two seasons of “All-Stars” changed things up and had winning queens decide who is eliminated. The most recent season also added a jury to the finale, a group of six eliminated queens interviewed the final four before voting on which two should advance to the final lip sync for your legacy. There’s no telling what twists Ru has in store for her season 10 queens though.
However, like previous standard seasons, most episodes will have the queens compete in one mini-challenge and one main-stage challenge, after which the queens giving the weakest overall performance must lip sync for their lives in order to stay. The loser of the lip sync, as determined by Ru and the other judges, will “sashay away” and be eliminated.
Thursday’s premiere will feature an appearance by Christina Aguilera, who’s serving as the first guest judge of the season. Other celebrities set to grace the queens with their presence include Shania Twain, Lena Dunham, Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer from “Broad City,” “Top Chef” host and judge Padma Lakshmi, rock star Courtney Love and multiple Tony, Grammy and Emmy winner Audra McDonald, as well as many others.
