The “Survivor: Ghost Island” finale is just two weeks away, which means it’s time for our remaining eight castaways to experience their long-awaited loved ones visit. In CBS’s preview trailer for Wednesday’s all-new episode (watch above), host Jeff Probst smiles ear to ear as he introduces the players to their friends/family members from back home. Find out how it all plays out when “A Giant Game of Bumper Cars” airs Wednesday, May 9 on CBS.
“These are the people we’ve been playing for,” responds Wendell Holland, who chokes up as he and everyone around him reunites with their loved ones.
Wendell appears to be in a strong position heading into this week’s episode thanks to his alliance that includes Domenick Abbate, Donathan Hurley, Laurel Johnson and Kellyn Bechtold. But with so many secret advantages and hidden immunity idols still in play, might the other three players — Sebastian Noel, Angela Perkins and Chelsea Townsend — be able to shake things up?
Last week’s double elimination episode saw the ousters of two original Malolo tribe members: Jenna Bowman and Michael Yerger. That leaves poor, cursed Malolo with only two players (Donathan and Laurel) compared to six original Navitis (Domenick, Kellyn, Wendell, Sebastian, Angela and Chelsea). If old tribal lines were the determining factor, Donathan or Laurel would be sent home next. However, that portion of the game seems to be behind us, as relationships and alliances are in charge as we approach the Season 36 finale.
Based on exclusive Gold Derby predictions for Season 36, Episode 12, our readers think that Sebastian is most in danger of heading home. He has 8/5 elimination odds, just ahead of Kellyn at 12/5 odds and Angela at 17/2 odds.
Meanwhile, Laurel is still our readers’ pick to win, as she has leading 15/8 odds of being named the “Sole Survivor.” Wendell currently comes in second place at 3/1 odds, while Domenick rounds out the Top 3 with odds of 9/2.
