The battle round of “The Voice” continues on March 26 with the third of four episodes. The first two episodes on March 19 and 20 were dominated by battles between artists coached by rookie Kelly Clarkson and the returning Alicia Keys. This means the final two installments will be given over primarily to those contestants on the teams of Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, who have been with the show since the start.
Both Levine and Shelton have pitted only four of his dozen artists against each other in the first two battle rounds of “The Voice.” That leaves them with eight apiece to pair up in these final two shows devoted to the battles. We have done some digging and learned that one of Levine’s four remaining pairings pits Miya Bass against Drew Cole. To get a sneak peek at their showdown on the Bob Dylan classic “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door,” watch the video above.
We first saw Bass, who hails from Queens, NY, on the fifth blind audition episode, which aired on March 12. Back then she won over Levine with her rendition of “Issues” by Julia Michaels, who just happens to be Levine’s advisor in the battles. Cole, a native of Los Angeles, CA, had both Levine and Shelton hitting their buttons and turning when he sang the Marcy Playground rock tune “Sex and Candy” on Blind Audition 1.
