Golden Globes (TV) Nominations 2013

At last year's awards, "Girls," its leading lady Lena Dunham, and Don Cheadle ("House of Lies") were comedy winners. It was a clean sweep on the drama side for "Homeland," Claire Danes, and Damian Lewis.

Among returning laffers, look for continued support of "The Big Bang Theory" (Jim Parsons), "Modern Family" (Eric Stonestreet, Sofia Vergara), "New Girl" (Zooey Deschanel, Max Greenfield), "Parks and Recreation" (Amy Poehler), "30 Rock" (Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin), and "Veep" (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). The relaunch of "Arrested Development" (Jason Bateman) is also back.

Freshman contenders include "The Crazy Ones" (Robin Williams, Sarah Michelle Gellar), "The Michael J. Fox Show" (Michael J. Fox), "The Millers" (Will Arnett), "Mom" (Anna Faris, Allison Janney), "Orange is the New Black" (Taylor Schilling), "Sean Saves the World" (Sean Hayes), and "Super Fun Night" (Rebel Wilson).

Dramas back for more are "Boardwalk Empire" (Steve Buscemi), "Breaking Bad" (Bryan Cranston), "Downton Abbey" (Michelle Dockery, Maggie Smith), "Game of Thrones" (Peter Dinklage), "The Good Wife" (Julianna Margulies), "Mad Men" (Jon Hamm), "Nashville" (Connie Britton), and "The Newsroom" (Jeff Daniels).

Newcomers include "The Americans" (Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys), "Bates Motel" (Vera Farmiga), "The Bridge" (Demian Bichir, Diane Kruger), "House of Cards" (Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright), "Low Winter Sun" (Mark Strong), "Masters of Sex" (Michael Sheen), "Orphan Black" (Tatiana Maslany), and "Ray Donovan" (Liev Schreiber, Jon Voight).
