Background: Sandler is an American comedian, actor, and writer who was born in Brooklyn, New York. While attending New York University, he started performing stand-up comedy at clubs and on campuses throughout the area. He then graduated from Tisch School of Arts in 1988.
Filmography: After small recurring roles on "The Cosby Show" and "Remote Control," he received his big break by becoming part of the ensemble cast of NBC's "Saturday Night Live." He left the show in 1995 and launched an extensive blockbuster film career with "Airheads," "Billy Madison," "Bulletproof," "Happy Gilmore," "The Wedding Singer," "The Waterboy," "Punch-Drunk Love," "Spanglish," "Reign Over Me," "Big Daddy," "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry," "You Don't Mess with the Zohan," "Bedtime Stories," "Funny People," "Grown Ups," and "Jack and Jill."
