Background: Pepper is an actor from British Columbia, Canada. His family navigated through the South Pacific for five years when he was very young. He completed all of his education through schools and correspondence courses.

Filmography: Pepper's first major film role was in "Firestorm," directed by Dean Semler. He immediately followed in 1998 with the Oscar-nominated "Saving Private Ryan," starring Tom Hanks and directed by Steven Spielberg. Although he received a Razzie Award for worst supporting actor for "Battlefield Earth" in 2000, Pepper has found steady work in films including "Enemy of the State," "The Green Mile," "We Were Soldiers," "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada," "Flags of Our Fathers," "Seven Pounds," "Casino Jack," and the remake of "True Grit" starring Jeff Bridges and directed by Ethan and Joel Coen. He received an Emmy nomination in In 2001 for his portrayal of New York Yankees baseball player Roger Maris in the TV movie "61*." A second nomination followed in 2011 for his portrayal of Robert F. Kennedy in the TV miniseries "The Kennedys."
