Background: Cranston is an actor who grew up in Los Angeles, California. He studied police science in college, but after graduating he began performing in local and regional theaters and appeared in TV commercials.
Filmography: He was an original cast member of the ABC soap opera "Loving," appearing from 1983 to 1985. He played astronaut Buzz Aldrin in the Tom Hanks-produced HBO miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon" in 1998 and had a recurring role on the NBC sitcom "Seinfeld" as well as numerous other TV guest appearances. In 2000 he was cast on the FOX sitcom "Malcolm in the Middle," playing a hapless dad to a rambunctious brood for six years. Currently he stars in the gritty AMC drama "Breaking Bad," which has won him three Emmy Awards.
