Background: Delany is an American actress who was born in New York City. After graduating in 1978 with a degree in theatre from Wesleyan University, she found acting work in stock productions in the area.

Filmography: Her career began on TV soap operas and on Broadway. She then had several guest starring roles on TV shows in Los Angeles. She earned the lead role on the ABC drama series "China Beach" which ran from 1988 to 1991. Her film roles have included "Sweet Surrender," "Moon Over Parador," "Housesitter," "Tombstone," and "Exit to Eden. She has also had regular roles on the ABC comedy series "Desperate Housewives" and the ABC drama series "Body of Proof."
