DOB: March 2, 1968
Background: Craig was born in Chester, Cheshire, England to Welsh parents. He began acting in school plays at age six and moved to London at sixteen to join the National Youth Theatre and also attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Filmography: He spent half of the 1990s in British television productions before breaking into film with performances in "Elizabeth" (1998), "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" (2001), and "Road to Perdition" (2002). He played Ted Hughes in the Sylvia Plath biopic "Sylvia" (2003) and appeared in the action film "Layer Cake" (2004) before assuming the role of James Bond in "Casino Royale" (2006). He played Bond again in "Quantum of Solace" (2008) and will reprise the role again in the upcoming twenty-third film in the long-running franchise. This year he plays the lead in David Fincher's English-language adaptation of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," as well as in "The Adventures of Tintin," "Dream House," and "Cowboys & Aliens."
