Background: Jones is an American actress and athlete who was born in Turlock, California, and raised in Hilmar. She attended California State University in Fresno where she set records in the shot-put competition. She is also a 15-time world arm wrestling champion.

Filmography: Her acting career began when she was cast on a gladiator-style show called "Knights and Warriors," which lasted only one season. She then started receiving guest acting parts on "Full House," "Married with Children," "Roseanne," "Tracey Takes On," "Dharma and Greg," "Cybill," "Chicago Hope," "Lizzie McGuire," "Reba," "Nip/Tuck," and "Desperate Housewives." She joined the musical comedy series "Glee" for its second season as Coach Shannon Beiste and earned an Emmy nomination for her guest starring role.
