DOB: January 14, 1967

Background: Watson was born in London, England, to a middle-class family. After graduating from the University of Bristol, she trained at Drama Studio London.

Filmography: Her acting career began on stage, including work with the Royal Shakespeare Company, before Lars von Trier cast her in "Breaking the Waves" (1996), her very first feature film, which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. She played Adam Sandler's love interest in Paul Thomas Anderson's quirky comedy "Punch-Drunk Love," was a memebr of the large ensemble cast of Robert Altman's "Gosford Park," and appeared in the "Silence of the Lambs" prequel "Red Dragon" as well as "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers" and the Australian western "The Proposition." Recently she appeared in the metaphysical comedy "Cold Souls" and Charlie Kaufman's "Synecdoche, New York."
