Background: Cusack was born in New York City and grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She hails from a family of actors, most notable of which is her brother John Cusack.

Filmography: A respected comedic character actress, Cusack has received two Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress, for "Working Girl" (1988) and "In & Out" (1997). Her big break came in 1985 where she was cast as a member of the "Saturday Night Live" ensemble, where she stayed for one year. Following her Oscar-nominated role in "Working Girl," Cusack continued to feature comedic roles, most notably including "Adams Family Values" (1993), "Nine Months" (1995), "Grosse Pointe Blank" (1997), "Runaway Bride" (1999) and as the voice of Jessie in Toy Story 2 (1999) and Toy Story 3 (2010). Her role in "Shameless" is her first main recurring guest-star role on a television series.
