Background: Goodman is an American actor who was born in Affton, Missouri. He played football and enjoyed theater work while in high school. After a few years attending Southwest Missouri State University, he moved to New York in 1975 to pursue an acting career.

Filmography: After working on stage and in a few commercials, his first major film role was in "Eddie Macon's Run." He followed with "True Stories," "Revenge of the Nerds," "Sweet Dreams," "The Big Easy," "Raising Arizona," "Burglar," "Punchline," "Everybody's All-American," "Sea of Love," "Always," "Arachnophobia," "King Ralph," "Barton Fink," "The Babe," "Matinee," "The Hudsucker Proxy," "The Flintstones," "Blues Brothers 2000," "The Big Lebwoski," "Bringing Out the Dead," "O Brother, Where Art Thou?," "Coyote Ugly," "Monsters, Inc.," "Beyond the Sea," "Evan Almighty," "Speed Racer," "The Princess and the Frog," and "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close." His most famous role was on the long-running ABC comedy series "Roseanne." Other TV work has included "The West Wing," "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," "Treme," "You Don't Know Jack," and "Damages."
