Background: Ormond is an actress from Surrey, England, whose performances in school productions of "Guys and Dolls" and "My Fair Lady" brought her early attention. She subsequently studied at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London, graduating in 1988.

Filmography: After early appearances in TV productions like "Traffik" (1989) and "Stalin" (1992), Ormond achieved international success in the films "Legends of the Fall" (1994), "First Knight" (1995), and "Sabrina" (1995). She played the title character in "Smilla's Sense of Snow" (1997), and in recent years she has appeared in David Lynch's "Inland Empire" (2006), Steven Soderbergh's "Che" (2008), and David Fincher's "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" (2008), in addition to TV appearances in the HBO telefilms "Iron Jawed Angels" and "Temple Grandin," Showtime's medical dramedy "Nurse Jackie," and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." She recently co-starred in "My Week with Marilyn" as famed actress Vivien Leigh.
