Background: Strong was born Marco Giuseppe Salussolia in London, England. He is of Austrian and Italian descent. His name was changed by his mother to help him fit in with his peers when he was a boy. In college, he sang in a punk band called Private Party. He planned to become a lawyer, but changed course and studied English and Drama at Royal Holloway and then attended Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
Filmography: The veteran character actor appeared in "Sunshine" (1999), "Prime Suspect 6" (2003), "Syriana" (2005), "Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day" (2008), "The Young Victoria" (2009), "Kick-Ass" (2010), "The Way Back" (2010), "The Guard" (2011), "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" (2011), "John Carter" (2012), and Kathryn Bigelow's 2012 film about the killing of Osama Bin Laden.
