DOB: September 8, 1971
Background: Freeman was born in Aldershot, Hampshire, England, the youngest of five children. He suffered from asthma as a child and had to underdog a hip operation to fix a problem with his leg. He attended London's Central School of Speech and Drama.
Filmography: He appeared in a number of British TV production and is perhaps best known for his role on Ricky Gervais's original "The Office." He has also appeared in "Shaun of the Dead" (2004), "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (2005), "Hot Fuzz" (2007), and the modern TV version of "Sherlock" as John Watson. In 2012 and 2013 he appears in Peter Jackson's two-part "Lord of the Rings" prequel "The Hobbit" as Bilbo Baggins.
