Filmography: He made the comedy "Mes amis" (1999), followed by a pair of spy-movie parodies: "OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies" (2006) and "OSS 117: Lost in Rio" (2009). This year he directed the Cannes Film Festival favorite "The Artist," a contemporary silent film set at the end of the silent-film era.
