Background: Heaton is an American actress who was born in Bay Village, Ohio. She received a degree in drama from Ohio State University before moving to New York City in 1980 to pursue an acting career.
Filmography: After succcess in a few off-Broadway productions, she moved to Los Angeles and started receiving television roles right away, including "thirtysomething," "Alien Nation," "Matlock," and "Party of Five." In 1996, she began a long run on the CBS comedy series "Everybody Loves Raymond" and followed with lead roles on the series "Back to You" and "The Middle."
