Background: Lloyd is a British director born in Bristol, England. She spent five years with the BBC after graduating from Birmingham University and developed a prolific career as a theater director.
Filmography: After directing the ABBA-inspired musical "Mamma Mia!" on stage, she helmed the big-screen adaptation in 2008, which became the highest grossing British film in UK box office history. This year will see the release of her follow-up film, "The Iron Lady," in which her "Mamma Mia!" star Meryl Streep plays British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
