Background: Tarantino was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, but moved with his mother to Torrence, California, when he was two years old. He developed a love for film while working at Video Archives, a rental store in Manhattan Beach.

Filmography: His feature directing debut was "Reservoir Dogs" (1992), which he followed with his breakthrough success, "Pulp Fiction" (1994). He won an Oscar for co-writing the film, and followed it with "Jackie Brown" (1997), "Kill Bill" (2003 and 2004), "Death Proof" (2007), and "Inglourious Basterds" (2009). His latest film is the western "Django Unchained" (2012) starring Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio.
