Background: Seacrest is an American broadcast personality who was born and raised in Dunwoody, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. During high school, he started his amateur career as the public address announcer and then went on to an internship at WSTR in Atlanta. He studied journalism at the University of Georgia for a short while before moving to Los Angeles at the age of 19.

Filmography: He began his professional career on KYSR with an afternoon radio show which became nationally syndicated soon after. Other radio shows have included "On the Air with Ryan Seacrest," "American Top 40," and his morning radio show on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles from 2004 to the present. In 1993, Seacrest became host of ESPN's "Radical Outdoor Challenge" and followed by hosting "Gladiators 2000." In 2002, he became host of the musical reality series "American Idol" on Fox. He has co-hosted "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" since 2005.  In 2006, he became producer and host of E! News on the entertainment channel and also produces several programs for the cable network. He won his first primetime Emmy Award as an executive producer of "Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution" in 2010.
