DOB: July 26, 1964
Background: Bullock studied acting in New York and after some success onstage she was cast in a series of roles on television including the short-lived 1990 sitcom "Working Girl." After appearing in several romantic comedies, she landed the female lead in "Demolition Man" in 1993.
Filmography: Her big break came in 1994 opposite Keanu Reeves in the smash hit "Speed." Following a string of hits in comedies, including "While You Were Sleeping," "Two if By Sea" and "Miss Congeniality," she searched out more serious fare and shone in a supporting role in the 2005 Best Picture winner "Crash." 2009 was a banner year for Bullock with two blockbusters -- the romantic comedy "The Proposal" and the biopic "The Blind Side."
