Members: Kristian Bush (b. March 14, 1970); Jennifer Nettles (b. September 12, 1974)
Background: Sugarland was formed in 2002 by Kristen Hall and Bush. Nettles joined the band as a lead singer, but after three years Hall left the group and Sugarland continued as a duo. The group signed to Mercury Nashville Records in 2004.
Discography: The band, still a trio, broke through with their multiplatinum debut album "Twice the Speed of Life" in 2004. After Hall left the band, the remaining members released "Enjoy the Ride" in 2006; that year they were also nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys. "Love on the Inside" followed in 2008, and then 2010's "The Incredible Machine," which went platinum.
