Background: Swift tried unsuccessfully to obtain a record deal in Nashville at the tender age of 11, but when she was 14, she caught the attention of Scott Borchetta, who signed her to his newly formed record label, Big Machine Records.
Discography: Swift released her self-titled debut album in 2006, peaking at number five on the Billboard 200 and spending eight weeks at number-one on the country charts. She followed up with "Fearless" in 2008, launching her to superstardom and winning her Album of the Year at the Grammys. Her third album, "Speak Now," was released in the fall of 2010.
