Background: Bergeron is an American broadcast personality who was born and raised in Haverhill, Massachusetts. While working mostly in Los Angeles, he and his family live in Connecticut.
Filmography: He began his professional career as a disc jockey on radio station WHAV in Haverhill before moving to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, to work for a different station. His first television job was as host of a local game show, "Granite State Challenge." After joining Boston TV station WBZ in 1982, he hosted "Evening Magazine" for five years and remained at the station with several programs through 1993. He then became host of the popular morning show "Breakfast Time" on the FX cable network in 1994. In 1998, he became host of the revised version of the syndicated game show "Hollywood Squares" with Whoopi Goldberg and then became host of "America's Funniest Home Videos" in 2001. He began hosting the ABC reality show "Dancing with the Stars" in 2005.
