Background: Collette is an Australian actress who was born in Sydney. She attended Blacktown Girls High School until age 16 and then enrolled at the Australian Theatre for Young People and NIDA. Her first onstage role was in the musical "Godspell."

Filmography: She made her television debut with a guest appearance on "A Country Practice" in 1990. Her breakout role was in the film "Muriel's Wedding" in 1994 and followed with films "Cosi," "The Pallbearer," "Emma," "Velvet Goldmine," "The Sixth Sense," "Shaft," "Changing Lanes," "About a Boy," "The Hours," "In Her Shoes," "Little Miss Sunshine," "The Night Listener," "Evening," and "Fright Night." She starred in the Showtime comedy series "United States of Tara" 2009 through 2011.
