Background: Macy is an American actor and writer who was born in Miami, Florida. He became involved with theatre while at Goddard College and performed in several school productions. He then moved to Chicago and co-founded the St. Nicholas Theater Company with playwright David Mamet.

He has starred in Mamet films "House of Games," "Things Change," "Homicide," "Oleanna," "Wag the Dog," "State and Main," and "Spartan."
