Background: Macy is an American actor and writer who was born in Miami, Florida. He became involved with theatre while at Goddard College and performed in several school productions. He then moved to Chicago and co-founded the St. Nicholas Theater Company with playwright David Mamet.

Filmography: After moving to New York City, he appeared in over 50 off-Broadway and Broadway productions. He has starred in Mamet films "House of Games," "Things Change," "Homicide," "Oleanna," "Wag the Dog," "State and Main," and "Spartan." His other films have included "Fargo," "Benny and Joon," "Above Suspicion," "Mr. Holland's Opus," "Ghosts of Mississippi," "Air Force One," "Boogie Nights," "Pleasantville," "Psycho," "Magnolia," "Jurassic Park III," "Panic," "Seabiscuit," "The Cooler", "Bobby," "Wild Hogs," and "The Lincoln Lawyer." His TV projects have included "E.R.," "Sports Night," "Door to Door," "A Slight Case of Murder," "The Wool Cap," and "Shameless."
