Screen Actors Guild voters are hard to predict sometimes when it comes to the top prize of Best Film Ensemble. Will they go for an all-star cast like last year's "The Help," a small group like "Sideways," or even a mostly unknown ensemble like "Slumdog Millionaire"?
The cast of "Lincoln" includes individual nominees Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, and Tommy Lee Jones, as well as respected veteran Hal Holbrook, characters actors James Spader and David Strathairn, and young star Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Director Ben Affleck also leads the cast of "Argo," whose nominees also include individual nominee Alan Arkin, Kyle Chandler, Bryan Cranston, Victor Garber, and John Goodman.
"The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" assembles a cast of veteran British actors including Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, and Maggie Smith, along with Dev Patel, who won this category along with the cast of "Slumdog Millionaire."
Representing the cast of "Les Miserables" are individual nominees Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway, along with a diverse cast that also includes Russell Crowe, Helena Bonham Carter, Eddie Redmayne, and Samantha Barks.
The romantic comedy "Silver Linings Playbook" features individual nominees Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, and Robert De Niro, as well as Jacki Weaver, Chris Tucker, and Anupam Kher.
