At the Screen Actors Guild Awards last year, Jessica Lange ("American Horror Story") prevailed as Best TV Drama Actress. Even though she then competed and won at the Emmys as Best TV Movie/Miniseries Supporting Actress, she will once again be in this drama category at SAG.
Other nominees last time included eight-time SAG winner Julianna Margulies ("The Good Wife"), Kathy Bates ("Harry's Law"), Glenn Close ("Damages"), and Kyra Sedgwick ("The Closer"). All are eligible again, as are recent Emmy winners Claire Danes ("Homeland") and Maggie Smith ("Downton Abbey").
Others under consideration could be Christine Baranski and Archie Panjabi ("The Good Wife"), Connie Britton ("Nashville"), Rose Byrne ("Damages"), Michelle Dockery ("Downton Abbey"), Anna Gunn ("Breaking Bad"), Mariska Hargitay ("Law and Order: SVU"), Christina Hendricks and Elisabeth Moss ("Mad Men"), Anjelica Huston and Debra Messing ("Smash"), Kelly Macdonald ("Boardwalk Empire"), Mary McDonnell ("Major Crimes"), Emily Mortimer ("The Newsroom"), and Katey Sagal ("Sons of Anarchy").
