The Razzies have honored a wide variety of films for Best Picture: comedies like "The Love Guru" and "Jack and Jill," sci-fi epics like "Battlefield Earth" and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," hits like "Wild Wild West," and notorious bombs like "Gigli" and "The Last Airbender."
Two "Transformers" films have been nominated for Worst Picture. Though no "Transformers" film was released in 2012, there is another possible contender based on a popular toy: the board game-based "Battleship."
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2" would be the third consecutive "Twilight" film to earn a Worst Picture bid, though the franchise has never won Razzie's top award.
Eddie Murphy and Adam Sandler have previous headlined Worst Picture winners. Murphy is back this year with "A Thousand Words" and Sandler contends with "That's My Boy."
The sci-fi epic "John Carter" received mixed reviews and was a significant box office failure for Disney; that level of ignominy often puts films on Razzie's radar.
"Atlas Shrugged: Part I," based on the Ayn Rand novel, avoided Razzie's wrath last year, but its followup, "Atlas Shrugged: Part II," may yet be singled out.
While Steven Spielberg's biopic "Lincoln" hopes for success at the Oscars, another film about America's 16th president could be a Razzie contender: "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter."
