In recent years, the Razzie for Worst Actor has favored the stars of unsuccessful comedies, including Mike Myers ("The Love Guru"), Eddie Murphy ("Norbit"), and Adam Sandler ("Jack and Jill").
Tabloid targets are also often singled out, including Ashton Kutcher ("Killers" and "Valentine's Day") and Ben Affleck ("Gigli," "Daredevil," and "Paycheck").
This year, Murphy and Sandler are back in contention. Murphy stars in the comedy "A Thousand Words" and Sandler in "That's My Boy," neither of which were greeted warmly by critics.
Previous nominees Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner could be nominated for the final installment of the "Twilight" franchise, as well as frequent Razzie target Nicolas Cage, who returned to the title role for the sequel "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" as well as the little seen but critically panned "Seeking Justice."
One of the Razzies' all-time biggest winners, Sylvester Stallone, could reap yet another bid as the star of "The Expendables 2"; he was previously nominated for Worst Director for the original "Expendables."
