Rules for voting for the winners:

    – Voting for winners begins effective immediately and will END on Friday, May 10, at 11:59pm Eastern Time.

    – You are eligible to vote in this round if you are a registed member at Gold Derby as of yesterday, April 21, 2013.

    – To vote, select one winner and one runner-up. Your “winner” choice will receive 5 points. Your “runner-up” choice will receive 2 points. The nominee with the most points at the end of voting wins. Please format your ballot as follows:

    BEST DRAMA SERIES
    Winner: “General Children to Live”
Runner-Up: “As the Bold Turns the Restless”

    – Submit your ballots by sending me a Private Message. To do so, hover over my name and from the drop-down menu select “Send Message.”

    –  You may vote in as many or as few categories as you wish, but if you vote, you MUST select one winner and one runner-up, or the category will not be counted.

    – You may post FYCs in this thread, but DO NOT post your entire ballot in this thread. Any questions or concerns may also be posted in this thread, and I will do my best to address them.

    Happy voting!

Great noms! Thanks for doing these. What happened with Jane Elliot? I figured she’d be a shoo-in for supporting actress.

Oddly, Jane Elliot received three votes: One for lead, one for supporting, one for limited/guest. I’m not sure if that has ever happened before.

Great nominees!  I’m pretty thrilled with this list.  It is a shame about Jane Elliot, but supporting actress is always very tough because there are so many potential candidates and they do a lot of heavy lifting.  (Though who am I to say she’s a supporting actress?  Apparently she runs the gamut!)

Strong nominations! Was so torn about not including Kelly Monaco in my voting, b/c the the incredible work she did w/the baby switch story and Jason’s death last year was unsung b/c of Finola shutting it down. That lead actress lineup is killer and I am hoping that it will be duplicated at the Daytime Emmys.

When I compiled the nominations, I was kinda surprised to see that Kelly Monaco and Finola Hughes have never been nominated for Goldie Awards before this, especially Monaco considering how prominent she has been over the last 10 years.

Voting is closed, thanks to all who participated!

Whew. Whenever I tabulate votes, it’s always exciting to see races come down to the wire. Three categories came down to one point, and two more categories were decided by a three-point margin.

There was only one nominee in any category that got zero votes.

I’ll announce the winners in a few days.
