    Jsut for fun…

    1. Don Hastings (Bob, ATWT) – just loved Dr. Bob!

    2. Christopher Bernau (Alan, GL) – he was superb as Alan, truly one of the great characters/actors in daytime history!

    3. Anthony Herrera (James, ATWT) – one of the all-time great villains, it’s shocking that he never got a nomination for his signature role.

    (Joseph Breen)
    4. Philip Carey (Asa, OLTL) – so memorable in his signature role as ‘ol Asa Buchanan!

    5. Mark Pinter (Grant, AW) – another terrific villain, complex and incredibly well acted role…

    6. Ben Masters (Passions) – blanking out on his name, but yet another really terrific villain… (I’m beginning to see a pattern!)

    7. John Aniston (Victor, Days) – perhaps this year? Does he submit? He has been awesome as Victor all these years…

    8. William Fichtner (Josh, ATWT) – “Josh/Rod” had a complex storyline and he really was fantastic in the role…

    9. Forrest Compton (Mike, TEON) – stolid, like Dr. Bob, perhaps not flashy enough but always interesting…

    10. Matt Crane (Matthew, AW) – a terrific younger actor who we watched grow up on our screens…

So many others: Matthew Bomer, GL; Christopher Marcental, Loving; Eric Sheffer Stevens, ATWT; Michael Caitlin, Capitol; Donald May, TEON; the actor who played Cliff Nelson on TEON… I am sure there are others…

Some who got nominations but deserved them for other shows: Roscoe Born, nommed for Santa Barbara, was great on OLTL and RH; Jed Allan was great on SB; William deVry was amazing on B&B… I’m sure there are others…

Actors who really deserved Emmys but never got one: James Mitchell, AMC; Scott De Freitas, ATWT; Grant Aleksander, GL; Ron Raines, GL; Ron Hale, RH; Stephen Schnetzer, AW; Joel Crothers, TEON.. sure there are others…

Glad you mentioned Roscoe Born who IMHO should have earned a nomination for his chilling and haunting work on All My Children. He did a fantastic job playing a real creep.

John Callahan also deserved at least one nomination for All My Children; as did Michael Nader.    I also think that over his career Ted King deserved nominations for GH and OLTL.

I still don’t understand why Casey Moss hasn’t earned an Emmy nomination yet. That kid is very talented.

Sean Kanan comes to mind as an actor who is far overdue for a nomination.  He has turned in fantastic work on GH, B&B and Y&R.

Some  (arguably) lesser known actors who haven’t been nominated, despite deserving them based on their work are Michael Dietz for PC, Michael Lowry for AMC, Shawn Christian for OLTL.

I can’t believe I forgot to mention Trevor St. John.   His work as Todd/Victor on OLTL was always compelling, complex and fantastic.   In particular his work during the execution storyline was the stuff that should be studied in acting school. He really brought something special to daytime.
