I really hope John Middleton wins Best Actor, I will be annoyed if anyone else wins.
Who do you want to win Best Actor?
I’ve not seen any of the winners so don’t spoil it, but it HAS to be John Middleton for Actor.
Actress is so much more wide open. I honestly don’t know who might win it. Maybe Marsh? I think I want it to be Charlotte Bellamy. She has been fantastic for years and has never received the recognition she deserves. Plus the Dementia storyline has been so beautiful, it deserves every award it has a shot at.

I wanted Charlotte Bellamy to win Best Actress. Thankfully, she did win it.June 6, 2017 at 3:40 pm #1202112726
I am so happy that John Middleton and Charlotte Bellamy won Best Actor and Best Actress and that Emmerdale won the most awards. They really deserved it.
Personally, I think Gillian Kearney should have won Villain of the Year. I’m just so glad that Phelan didn’t win again.
I had a feeling that EastEnders wasn’t gonna win anything. It has been really, really boring this year.
What is your opinion on the winners?June 7, 2017 at 9:22 am #1202113476
Generally, I LOVE the winners. Emmerdale won by a clear landslide in the Best Soap category.
The cheers from the audience at the ceremony were insane for Emmerdale. I have never known anything like it in all my years of following these awards.
Charlotte Bellamy winning Actress was a highlight. I did suspect Kym Marsh would win, but I am thrilled for Bellamy. Her reaction was brilliant.
Ashley’s Dementia swept, and it was so deserved.
Hollyoaks winning two was questionable. Scene of the Year was Emmerdale by a mile, maybe Corrie in second. Hollyoaks winning wasn’t good.
Partnership I feel the same way. Alfie and Jade were good, but not better than Ashley and Laurel, Martin and Stacey or Zara and Daniel.
Doctors winning was brilliant. I always love it when they win because just one award at the ceremony means so much to them.
Corrie was good in the second half of the year, so glad it got something. Comedy was deserved, Young Actor was expected. Sally Dexter deserved Newcomer over Rob Mallard, but I did like his speech. If any Corrie star was to win Newcomer, I’d have rather it go to Julia Goulding who plays Shona.
I do wish Emmerdale swept even more. Whenever Eastenders or Corrie sweep, they SWEEP. For some reason, the panel still held back on giving Emmerdale a fully blown sweep. They’ve never truly gone for Emmerdale, even this year. Maybe this is baby steps, so in years to come they really can SWEEP.July 13, 2017 at 3:25 am #1202149878
Eastenders: Danny Boy Hatchard (Lee Carter)
Eastenders: Jasmine Armfield (Rebecca Fowler)
