Fear not, soap fans! DAYS production will resume the beginning the of April. In one of the longest hiatuses the show has experienced in its 50-year history, cast and crew exited Burbank studios on Friday and won’t return until early April. With the soap expected to adjust their vigorous taping schedule, fans don’t need to worry about original episodes airing.

    As fans already know,
DAYS was forced to replace co-head writer, Josh Griffith, when the scribe decided to leave the soap to pursue other projects.

Staff writer Ryan Quan has taken over Griffith’s duties. Fans of the long running drama, hope that this forced extended break may just be the kickstart needed to reboot the show.

Thanks for this info, StallionCity.  Considering how far ahead the show is, a hiatus of a month or two still doesn’t seem long enough!  But I am definitely hoping the combination of Ryan Quan’s promotion and a little more time to think and plan will get things back on the rails by the end of the year (strange to have to think of it so far ahead, but I think the show already has six months of scrips).

I wonder if Ryan Quan is a fan of Christie Clark/Carrie and can get her back on?  I hadn’t thought about this before, but a little pseudo-stepsibling rivalry between Carrie and Belle could be pretty fun.

Yet another great idea that could be pursued if they brought her back!  Make it happen Days!
