We haven’t been all that conversational in here, so I thought I’d try to spice things up with another discussion.
What do you guys think of the year so far in daytime? What shows or performances have already singled themselves out for recognition, and who’s earned a spot in the hall of shame?
One Life to Live seems to be the popular winner for quality so far this year, and I wouldn’t go out of my way to disagree. There were some weeks that were really strong, but they can also swing pretty quicky into “Wait . . . what?!?” territory.
Erika Slezak’s has done some stellar work with her story with Charlie and Echo, and Bree Williamson has impressed me as Tessica and co.
Over at DAYS, Arianne Zucker continues to be amazing. Other than her, I think Galen Gering playing the two Rafes (not to mention amnesiac Rafe, Frafe as Rafe, Rafe as Frafe) has been fantastic, and Crystal Chappell has turned in some tour-de-force performances with her addiction storyline.
