GH got 10 acting nominations; 9 for Y&R; 8 for Days; and 4 for B&B (not counting Guest Performer)

First-time nominees: Michael Easton, Marci Miller, Greg Vaughan (!!!), Wally Kurth, Anthony Montgomery, Marla Adams (!!!!); Mishael Morgan, Lucas Adams, Casey Moss, Tristan Lake Leabu, Hudson West, Hayley Erin, Cait Fairbanks, Olivia Rose Keegan.

Y&R got 4 of the 6 Supporting Actress nominations.

I am heartbroken that Judi Evans is not nominated ):

I predicted 21 correctly in the acting categories.

Only one of the nominees I most didn’t want nominated made it; 4 of the 5 I did want made it!

Days of Our Lives’s Susan Seaforth Hayes set a new record for the longest break between two separate nominations. She was last nominated 39 years ago. Susan Seaforth Hayes received prior nominations in 1975, 1976, 1978, and 1979. Susan and husband Bill Hayes will receive Lifetime Achievement Emmy Awards this year.

Poor Kelly Monaco and Judi Evans. Laura Wright didn’t have strong material last year. I like Marci Miller but her material wasn’t as strong as Monaco and Evans.

    I love supporting actor.

I really hope GH or Days takes lead actor. Bergman and McCook are talented and always have strong reels, but year round they aren’t as deserving as the other men on this list.

    GH gets 10 acting nominations. Y & R has 9 and Days has 8. B & B gets 4.

No nominations for Scott Clifton, Heather Tom.

The omission of Judi Evans is criminal.

    No Steve Burton?

Why do they ignore Sharon Case year after year?
I don’t get nominating performers who were on for short period such as Greg Rickkart and Elizabeth Hendrickson on Y&R. I love them but they are taking spots from others.

Kinda surprised LW got in..but happy for Anthony in the supporting actor category for GH. He KILLED those prision scenes with Jordan about his wife dying..I think I was one of the few to predict him. I think he can win.

Lead Actress is Maura vs Eileen..but thr edge to West.

Yas, Ben Platt is nominated for musical performance! Hope he can get the 3rd prize for Dear Evan Hansen like Cynthia Errivo!

Days of Our Lives’s Marci Miller is the first performer under the age of 30 to receive a lead-acting nomination since Kelly Monaco (General Hospital) was nominated in 2006. Monaco was age 29. Miller is 28.

I am confused by Morgan Fairchild’s nomination; did they change the rules? She seemed to be on too many times to be considered? Scooter and Roger made it in from Days as well, along with Zack, who was on a great deal and seemed more like a Supporting Actor to me (Ryan Ashton, Y&R), and Vernee Watson as Stella Henry on GH… they must have changed the rules? (Robb Derringer played Scooter and John Enos played Roger)

So Days, GH and Y&R all got 11 acting nominations, with B&B only getting 4.

Soap stars nominated in the Digital Drama acting categories: Mary Beth Evans, The Bay; Lilly Melgar, The Bay; Alicia Minshew, Tainted Dreams; Van Hansis, Eastsiders; Molly Burnett, Relationship Status; Jade Harlow, The Bay; Terri Ivens, The Bay; Brandon Beemer, The Bay; Eric Nelsen, The Bay…

Eileen Davidson did not get both nominations; so surprised that Susan Hayes got the only Supporting Actress nomination from Days…

Question, do Daytime Emmys count toward EGOT status? If so, and if Dear Evan Hansen wins, then Ben Platt would only be an Oscar away from that status. Crazy awesome.

They do. Whoopi Goldberg’s an EGOT and her Emmy is a Daytime Emmy.

The lead actress category is fabulous. Honestly i cant wait to see these reels. Laura Wright had a bigger year last year but Gina had the showy reel.  She had a good year though. Eileen imo is the favorite because she was incredible. Maura West was just amazing as always and NLG so happy she gets another chance. Marci is the huge surprise and imo she reminds me so much of Julianne Moore. Of any actress that has movie star potential and primetime its Marci. She has huge IT factor she wont stay in daytime long imo. Everything about her is a star is born.
