The good news for soaps keeps on coming as ABC has confirmed that its last remaining soap, GH, will continue to air for at least another year.

With GH renewal, all 4 soaps will remain intact.  DAYS 2 year pickup was announced yesterday and CBS revealed last week that B&B was given a 1 year and Y&R a 3 year pickup.

    GH renewed through 2015.
    B&B renewed through 2015.
    DAYS renewed through 2016
    Y&R renewed through 2017.

Awesome.  It’s nice that all the soaps are safe for the moment.

Yes, FANTASTIC news for all our soaps!

GH was definitely the most improved show of 2013 with Cartini working their magic and discovering a formula that seems to really click with viewers. I’m glad the show got its very deserved pick-up (a bit surprised though it’s only for one year, given how the ratings have sky-rocketed especially over the last couple months, which should’ve warranted a longer extension).

    Here’s to a successful 2014!!
