Another actress has apparently been axed according to soap central boards and SOD.  Marcy Rylan’s Abby has been let go.  Well Y&R is certainly cleaning house.  Also didn’t see on board Julia Pace Mitchell is recurring as Sofia.  I fully expect to see Marco Dapper also leaving soon.

    Marcy Walker as Abby!  HA!

I think JFP is three for three so far.  Firstly, I’ll say that I was never on the Marcy Rylan bandwagon, not when she was on GL and definitely not as the naked heiress Abby.  Not that I think she’s a bad actress.  She was fine playing Lizzie, but she also seemed kind of limited to me.  And then Y&R hires her, aging Abby in a way that I thought was just ridiculous — who ages their teenage characters to make them 30?!? — and turning her into this celebutante parody that didn’t make sense for the character or the show as a whole.  I know Abby is an important character, being a Newman and an Abbott, but I say they rest the character for a while and then bring her back completely retooled into something that makes more sense.  Or don’t bring her back, since Brad is dead and Ashley lives in Salem now.

I do wish Marcy the best of luck.  I could see her doing great outside of soaps.  She’d make an adorable romantic lead in something romcomy, or actually I could have been her being really good in the Beth Behrs role in 2 Broke Girls.
