Melissa Archer rumored out at DAYS.
Ian Buchanan rumored out at GH.
In both cases, I’d say good riddance. I know Duke and Anna were huge in the 80’s but I think Finola Hughes has had better chemistry with Michael Easton, Jason Thompson, Tristan Rogers and even Ryan Paevey than she’s had with Buchanan since their 2012 returns. And Melissa Archer’s never been the best actress but she’s gorgeous and should have been a huge hit over at DAYS. Unfortunately, they stuck her with such a clunker of a story that she never really had a chance.
Ian has not been confirmed, and I honestly dont think it’s happening…
Melissa could very well be out at Days. That storyline is just…
Melissa Archer IS out at Days. Maybe they felt the storyline wasn’t so great? I didn’t really care for her all that much.
Actually, I’d prefer for Grayson McCouch to leave GH than Ian Buchanan; on the other hand, they have written him stupidly for more than a year now, so… wonder if they would kill him off?
Melissa Archer is a lot of fun to watch on Days. I have enjoy watching her mix it up with Arianne Zucker and others. I think she would be a great addition to GH (not that they need additional characters).
As for Ian Buchanan, I like the actor very much, but they really need to reduce (or eliminate) the mob presence in Port Charles.
I do think GH has made the character of Duke very disposable. When we were making lists of which characters we’d cut from GH, I feel like Duke was on a lot of people’s lists. At this point, Duke and Anna have zero rooting interest as a couple, and I don’t care about anything else Duke is doing.
I’ve enjoyed Serena and Melissa Archer on DAYS. I think the storyline has been fun, but I guess that’s not the general consensus. It is funny, though, to see Daytime Confidential talking about the story being such a snoozefest (which I didn’t think at all) and compare this situation to what happened with Lindsey Hartley and Sarah Brown, both of which I think were very different. I thought Hartley’s ousting was terrible, actually, and that the character was working really well before they killed Arianna off for plot development. Sarah Brown’s Madison started out pretty well, but the whole thing with her husband Ian kind of ruined it, and then she was axed when they switched writers.
