Once again my least favorite group of nominees ): I am truly only happy with ONE of these nominees ): Just dreadful imo….

    1. JACOB YOUNG as RICK FORRESTER, The Bold and the Beautiful

Great scenes with the revelation of Maya’s being transgendered. Really a Lead Actor for 2015, he’s the best of this group of nominees. he won for GH for 2001 (Younger Actor).

    2. BRYTON JAMES as DEVON HAMILTON, The Young and the Restless

I hated his storyline, but he’s always solid. He had my least favorite win ever when Van Hansis lost the Younger Actor Emmy back in I think for 2006? (or ’07?).

    3. DOMINIC ZAMPROGNA as DANTE FALCONERI, General Hospital

Really a Lead Actor for 2015, I just don’t find him interesting. 2nd nomination.

    4. SEAN BLAKEMORE as SHAWN BUTLER, General Hospital

I guess others liked his final scenes with the reveal about TJ’s parentage? Not me. Bored by it… 2nd nomination.

    5. STEVE BURTON as DYLAN McAVOY, The Young and the Restless

Groan. Boring. Darin Brooks, Wally Kurth and Christopher Sean? Greg Rikaart? No, they go with this dull character and actor. Sorry, I really don’t like Dylan or his portrayer…. He won for Jason when he was interesting, way back for 1997.

Sean Blakemore is a solid actor, but his 2015 stories were weak. Steve Burton is playing a rather basic soap character. Dominic Zamprogna is another low-key actor who lacks compelling material. Bryton James did some strong work last year, and deserves his nomination. Jacob Young had some of his career-best in 2015.

    1. Jacob Young, The Bold & the Beautiful

    2. Bryton James, The Young & the Restless

    3. Steve Burton, The Young & the Restless

    4. Dominic Zamprogna, General Hospital

    5. Sean Blakemore, General Hospital

    Jacob Young, B&B.  Enough said.

I never thought Jacob Young was that great of an actor and thought his first win for Lucky Spencer was a JOKE.

I think he will win here. I would rather Sean Blakemore or Bryton McClure to prevail.

I’m with gdfl.  Jacob Young, and the rest aren’t even worth talking about.

Young had strong material all year long and should easily pick up Emmy #2. McClure and Zamprogna are perfectly good actors who made the most of cliched family love triangle stories. Blakemore and Burton are a little too stoic for my taste and underplay their material to the point where it becomes boring and uninteresting. It’s a shame Wally Kurth and Greg Rikaart were passed over for them.

    1. Young

    2. McClure

    3. Zamprogna

    4. Blakemore

    5. Burton

Without a nomination for the best performance–Bryan Dattilo (“Days of Our Lives”)–I will dismiss this category.
