Very disappointed that Judi Evans isn’t nominated ): This is tough because it’s pretty much a 3 way tie and I love four of these actresses’ 2015 work very much…

    1. JESSICA COLLINS as AVERY BAILEY CLARK, The Young and the Restless

Her work towards the end of her time on Y&R was really terrific: esp. her fiery confrontation scenes of Joe. Really fantastic! This is her 2nd nomination.

    2. PEGGY McCAY as CAROLINE BRADY, Days Of Our Lives

Touching scenes with Kayla and Bo and Victor. She is 88 years old. This is her 6th nomination (I think?) she has a primetime Emmy award. I wouldn’t have any problem with her winning and she’s in the right category (finally!)

    3. MELISSA REEVES as JENNIFER HORTON DEVEREAUX, Days Of Our Lives

Her scenes with Kassie DePaiva’s Eve really standout. She was one of my six actresses I was hoping would get nominations, of which 4 of them made it in! This is her 2nd nomination.

    4. LAURALEE BELL as CHRISTINE WILLIAMS, The Young and the Restless

her scenes when her baby died after she was struck by a car driven by Neil were stellar. She was one of my six – I would have preferred Judi Evans and/or Kelly Sullivan but I am very happy for LB! This is her 1st nomination. (I wonder what Terry Lester would think? Lauralee has come a long way since her beginnings on the show!)

    5. LINSEY GODFREY as CAROLINE FORRESTER, The Bold and the Beautiful

I predicted she would get nominated. I know others like her way more than I do. I think part of it for me in 2015 was that most her scenes were with “Grandpa Ridge”. She’s very good but I would be disappointed if she wins. She is solid but she rated 7th out of the pre-nominees for me.

Jessica Collins was very good, but this category is strong and I would prefer the award not to go to a departed actor. Lauralee Bell did some solid work, though she is rarely on. Peggy McKay’s is certainly entertaining and does both comedy and drama well. Much like Lisa LoCicero last year, Melissa Reeves is a true supporting actress who aired frequently but not quite enough for the lead category. Linsey Godfrey turned in amazing performances.

    1. Linsey Godfrey, The Bold & the Beautiful

    2. Melissa Reeves, Days of Our Lives

    3. Peggy McKay, Days of Our Lives

    4. Lauralee Bell, The Young & the Restless

    5. Jessica Collins, The Young & the Restless

I’m ranking this as personal ‘should’ wins even though my ‘will’ win predictions are quite different.

    1.  Peggy McKay, DOOL
    2.  Jessica Collins, Y&R
    3.  Lauralee Bell, Y&R
    4.  Linsey Godfrey, B&B
    5.  Melissa Reeves DOOL

I’m most pleased with this category, even though I was all about Kelly Sullivan going into today’s announcement.

Also, I originally typed #5 as Melissa Rivers, instead of Reeves,   Not a far stretch from the time when I thought Marcy Walker was cast as Y&R’s Abby, not Marcy Rylan.  That ridiculous flub still makes me laugh.

I don’t really have preferences here, but I think Peggy McKay will win this one. Her coming in from Lead Actress will give her more support than the others.

This one is especially hard for me to rank, and without seeing some of the reels (I really don’t think I saw the best of the Y&R and B&B nominees from 2015) I don’t think I should.  I’m happy with the list, but as I said when the prenoms came out, I find myself really pulling for Melissa Reeves.  I think it’s a real challenge to play a character who has become as butter-wouldn’t-melt virtuous as Jennifer Horton usually is and not lose that while she’s taking such obvious pleasure in having the upper hand on Eve and blackmailing her.

gdfl, that slipup reminds me of when I read that Kelly Andrews as leaving Y&R but I read it (and responded!) as if it said Kelly Sullivan.  I was just laughing about that the other day.  It’s hard not to laugh at the idea of Marcy Walker playing Abby!

Another strong category. Probably the hardest to predict because all 5 of these ladies have the reels to win.

    1. Jessica Collins

    2. Lauralee Bell

    3. Peggy McCay

    4. Melissa Reeves

    5. Linsey Godfrey

Lauralee Bell (“The Young and the Restless”) is followed by Peggy McCay (“Days of Our Lives”)…and no one else.

Melissa Reeves stands out with her performance in her submitted scene.
    She should win.
I think she is so believable as an actress.
I believe her when she acts that is what makes her such an talented actress.
She never overacts but keeps it real and subtle..
