Here are the 11 actors who submitted for consideration:
1. NICHOLAS BECHTEL, General Hospital
Overjoyed that he submitted this year! this kid is golden! Esp. loved the epi where Britt visits and then the ghost of his mother when Spencer was wearing the mask after sustaining burns on his face.
2. CASEY MOSS, Days Of Our Lives
Hopefully his grief scenes for Paige will get him a well-deserved nomination this year.
3. TEQUAN RICHMOND, General Hospital
I suspect he will submit the getting arrested and harrassed at a mall storyline.
4. PIERSON FODE, The Bold and the Beautiful
a very nice new addition to the show.
5. BRYAN CRAIG, General Hospital
He sometimes irritates me, but I did enjoy his manic episodes late in the year.
6. MAX EHRICH, The Young and the Restless
Blink and you missed him. Sure has an Emmy reel from Michael’s cancer storyline.
7. ROME FLYNN, The Bold and the Beautiful
8. TERRELL RANSOM, JR., Days Of Our Lives
9. CONNOR KALOPSIS, Days of Our Lives
10. JAMES LASTOVIC, Days Of Our Lives
We hardly know him yet, not enough material.
11. JONATHON McCLENDON, Days Of Our Lives
Just haven’t warmed him to him yet…January 27, 2016 at 10:08 pm #430197
^^ This basically reflects my opinions as well. I think Casey Moss will take it in the end, but it’s between him and Bechtel for sure and both are deserving.

Casey Moss and Pierson FobeJanuary 29, 2016 at 4:49 pm #430199
The four youngest Days actors are a long shot at best. As Freeman noted above, Terrell Ransom and Connor Kalopsis do not have the material. James Lastovic and Jonathon McClendon have more to work with, but are still finding their footing on the show.
Rome Flynn appears to have potential, but his character has not yet really emerged due to limited airtime. Max Ehrich is very good, but also had limited screen time this year. Tequan Richmond also had limited air time, and tends to play his scenes with the same annoyed tone regardless of the circumstances. Bryan Craig is a strong actor who was front-burner for most of the year, but his stories were pretty much unwatchable.
Pierson Fode did a nice job in his scenes with Caroline, and was played heavily for a few months. Casey Moss was played heavily all year and consistently delivered strong performances. Nicolas Bechtel had limited air time, but he is wonderfully entertaining.

5. Tequan Richmond, GH
6. Max Ehrich, Y&R
7. Rome Flynn, B&B
8. Jonathon McClendon, Days
9. James Lastovic, Days

These rankings are a little tricky for me, having seen so much more DAYS and GH than Y&R and B&B over 2015, but I’ve got opinions nonetheless, so here we go. The Daytime Emmy rulebook implied that they would try for five nominees in a category as long as there were enough entrants (something like seven or more), unless there’s a tie, so I went with that in mind.
I’d Rather Not:
Terrell Ransom, Jr.
Similar to with younger actress, these nominees are essentially the actors who made an impression on me through having something to play and playing it well. I think the three borderline guys all have potential as well. James Lastovic started out very flat but I think came on a bit by the end of the year, and Max Ehrich seems capable of getting nominated as long as he bothers to show up, but I certainly wouldn’t count him out.
