I am always way off on my predictions; these are the hardest awards to predict in the daytime categories because we don’t know who is on each panel and what their biases are. I am curious what others are thinking. My own view: there will be a mix of lousy nominations and great ones. I am bound to be WRONG but here are my predictions; what are yours?

    Drama Series:

    B&B, Days, GH and Y&R

    Actor:

    Maurice Benard, GH

    Doug Davidson, Y&R

    Anthony Geary, GH

    Christian LeBlanc, Y&R

    Kristoff St. John, Y&R

(I want: Billy Flynn, Days and Justin Hartley, Y&R)

    Best Actress:

    Kassie DePaiva, Days

    Melissa Claire Egan, Y&R

    Finola Hughes, GH

    Gina Tognoni, Y&R

    Maura West, GH

(I want: Kassie DePaiva to be nominated and will be infuriated if they get this one wrong!)

    Best Supporting Actor:

    Steve Burton, Y&R

    Sean Carrigan, Y&R

    Bryton James, Y&R

    Jacob Young, B&B

(I want: Darin Brooks, Wally Kurth, and Christopher Sean to be on the list!)

    Best Supporting Actress:

    Jessica Collins, Y&R

    Judi Evans, Days

    Linsey Godfrey, B&B

    Peggy McCay, Days

    Kelly Sullivan, Y&R

(Judi Evans is a MUST; I would love to see Lauralee Bell or Melissa Reeves make the cut. I have six who I would love: Bell, Collins, Evans, McCay, Reeves and Sullivan)

    Best Younger Actor:

    Nicholas Bechtel, GH

    Bryan Craig, GH

    Casey Moss, Days

    Tequan Richmond, GH

    Best Younger Actress:

    Reign Edwards, B&B

    Hunter King, Y&R

    Ashlyn Pearce, B&B

    Brooklyn Rae Silzer, GH

(I want Camryn Grimes to be on this list, and for Hunter King NOT to be nominated; a threepeat would be dreadful and undeserved)

    Best Directing Team:

    B&B, Days, GH and Y&R

    Best Writing Team:

    B&B, Days, GH and Y&R

I don’t know who has submitted for Guest Performer Emmy, so I am leaving that blank. I am hoping my predictions are way off and my dream ballot is way right! (:

robbalto, you really think they are going to snub Kassie? ): I love Eileen Davidson but she just doesn’t have any Emmy material for Y&R from 2015; she did have the material for her two weeks on Days though!

I love 3 of your Best Actor nominees; hope you are right and I am wrong! While I hated Neil’s storyline, his acting was excellent (besides, Kristoff is a vegan! That has nothing to do with acting skills, but it makes him more likable to me!)

I will be so disappointed if they snub master Nicholas Bechtel ):

I will be so unhappy if Hunter King threepeats ):

I will be shocked if Jessica Collins isn’t nominated; she definitely has Emmy reel material to get a nomination for 2015.

I am surprised you don’t think Ashlyn Pearce will get nominated? She definitely has the material for a nomination. We’ll see… and Rome Flynn? imo he just doesn’t have the material – Pierson Fode is much more interesting (I have this awful feeling that Max Ehrich will ride the Y&R wave) ):

I will be very surprised (and incredibly disappointed) if Days only gets three nominations. ): (and upset if Y&R gets 10 nominations) ):

Every year, the nominations surprise (and in some cases baffle) me. I was trying to anticipate some of that in my predictions, although I suppose it is not really possible. Based on the prenoms, Y&R appears poised to dominate. I have a feeling Days will get left behind this year, but hopefully I am wrong.

Yeah, I find it impossible to even try predicting the weird combination of startling surprises and same old same old that the Daytime Emmys tend to present year upon year.

It’s kind of tempting to run with patterns.  Like, look at younger actor.  Max Ehrich has been nominated for the last three years, seemingly irrespective of whatever he submits.  Why stop now?  Bryan Craig seems like a good guess after two straight nominations.  The last time DAYS didn’t have a nominee in this category was 2007, and they’ve won the last four years.  Does that feel like enough to pull past the fact that Casey Moss has not managed a nomination in the last two years?  Meanwhile, the most discernable pattern in younger actress is that they like repeat winners.  Supporting actress seems, at least in my opinion, to strongly focus on the submitted reels, while supporting actor is something of a mystery, but seems to largely favor guys who did well in younger actor previously, guys who should be competing in lead, or both.  Only actors from Y&R and GH have been nominated for lead actor in the last three years, and that’s included two GH actors and five Y&R actors.  That gives me hope for Justin Hartley but not for Billy Flynn, as I would kind of expect that trend to continue.  DAYS is the only show that’s managed consistent nominations in lead actress over the last four years, and a strong reel seems to go far.  With B&B not even in the running, I expect the other three soaps to likely be represented.  As far as the series categories go, I think it’s possible that not all of the soaps are nominated, but I doubt that any one soap is so far behind the other three in any of the categories that that would happen.  Let me see if I can work this into an actual prediction list.  (And then update what I have in the prediction center, because it’s probably wrong.)

Has anyone heard if The Talk will be announcing the nominations? Can someone remind me which site will have the full list of nominees? Does anyone know what time they come out? I am in so much suspense!

I am really curious who was eligible and who will be nominated for Guest Performer! Hoping for Dee Wallace!

Current attempt at predictions (not really preferences), with a conditional fifth slot in every category.  Surely some of these are wrong, but it’s hard to guess which noms will be truely out there and which ones won’t:

    Y&R

    Finola Hughes

    Maura West

    Gina Tognoni

Fifth Slot: Tossup between Melissa Claire Egan and Mary Beth Evans

    Lead Actor:

    Eric Braeden

    Doug Davidson

    Anthony Geary

    Justin Hartley

    Fifth Slot: Kristoff St. John

    Lauralee Bell

    Jessica Collins

    Judi Evans

    Linsey Godfrey

    Fifth Slot: Peggy McCay

    Supporting Actor:

    Darin Brooks

    Bryton James

    Christopher Sean

    Jacob Young

    Fifth Slot: Greg Rikaart

    Younger Actress:

    Camila Banus

    Hunter King

    True O’Brien

    Brooklyn Rae Silzer

    Fifth Slot: Ashlyn Pearce

    Younger Actor:

    Bryan Craig

^^  EmmyLoser, I expect Laura Wright instead of Gina Tognoni and Kelly Sullivan instead of Lauralee Bell, but otherwise I’m in full agreement with your predictions.
